Acrylic painting on Canvas-Yaazhi

 Hello friends,

The Meenakshi amman temple is one of the marvels of art and architecture. As we walk through the vast corridors of the temple, We can admire the stone pillars carved with beautiful yaazhis. The ceilings are painted with amazing and colourful Mandala art.(Flowers, designs, illusions, etc.,)

This painting of mine is a tribute to that magnificient mandalas and the wonderful yaazhi pillars of Meenakshi temple. I have painted this on my own made canvas and gesso. I used acrylic paints for blending. The real beauty of this painting comes out only after thin outlining with black colour.

Flower Basket

Hello everyone..

This flower basket that I made was very special to me.. I learnt this craft in my school days and I recreated it last week with those memories. It turned out quite good... This flower basket has hand made cute little red flowers among precut fabric leaves on a small basket bought from a craft shop..... 

The flowers are made of petals in which the stocking cloth is strectched on a ring made with thin golden wire.. This flower basket is decorated with satin ribbons and cloth lace.....

Artificial Flower Bouquet

Hello everyone..

Today I have posted a flower bouquet which I have made with stocking cloth flowers.. I have inserted some thermocol balls into a wire and finished it with some machine cut flowers.. They act as fillers and I have used green colored crepe paper as leaves..And tied it with a paper tape bow..

Flower vase with Satin Ribbon Roses

Hello everyone..

Today I have posted a flower vase with hand made flowers along with machine cut ones.. I have made the roses with orange and pink satin ribbons..the fillers are pre cut flowers and leaves inserted into a steel wire.. After folding each wire's edges, I have adjoined a kundan stone in each of them.. I have inserted into an oasis flower bed and inserted into the plastic flower pot, which is rolled with a simple paper tape ..

I made this flower vase long ago as a birthday gift for my neighbor's cute little  kid for her 5th birthday..
