Birthday greeting Card- Unicorn

 Hello friends,

Today I am going to post a birthday card that I did for my daughter's 12th birthday. As my daughter loves unicorns, the back page of the card has this following design..

The second one is designed as a door with a poetry written inside which can be opened
by removing the pink paper latch.

The Last one is a wall poster with motivational quote. As she was studying hard and found her portions were very vast, this poster gave her a sense of strength and motivation

Birthday card for Dad

Hello everyone..

I love to make greeting cards.. Today I have posted a handmade greeting card done for husband's birthday.. This card has a personal touch as my elder daughter has drawn a family photo inside this card..

I have used a blue card stock as a base for this card..Fold the card vertically along the center to make this a book like opening greeting card..

A blue colored glittering foam sheet is used to cut out petals of a flower.. Now We can paste the petals in the form of a flower..

Upon that and in the corners, I have pasted some pre-cut foam flowers and butterflies which can be bought in any craft shop.. We can paste any stones or crystals to further decorate it.. A tape of stones is pasted along the opening side...

When we open this card, it looks like this..

My daughter has drawn this family photo and I have attached it with glittering tape.. A small cartoon with googly eyes and a wish written using glitter completes this greeting card..

Hope you liked this card..Thank you for visiting.. Please don't forget to follow my blog for instant updates.. Have a nice day.. keep on crafting..

Birthday Gift - Cake Box

Hello everyone..

Today is my daughter's birthday.. the most exciting day for my 6 year old.. So to make things still more fun, I have transformed a plastic box into a cake shaped goodies box and gifted it to her.. She was so happy with her gift..

There are many wonderful gifts and gift shops are available everywhere and we can buy any of them .But when we gift something that was hand made by us..(even though it is simple..), the joy we see on our kid's face is definitely worth it... They realize the time and effort we have put onto creating something exclusively for them.. and thus our bond becomes stronger..

Actually,I love the cute gifts from shops..So I combined both the gifts by placing a shop bought gift inside my handmade gift.. I highly recommend you to try this..for it will bring joy and fun for sure..

Here is what the cake box looked like..

 How to:

Make the lid:
  1. Place a sponge on the lid and tape it
  2. Stretch a stocking cloth and tape it in the bottom of the lid
  3. This forms the cake top
  4. We can decorate it with crystals,Pearls, glitersand any other decor items.
Here is how the side of the box will look like..

Make the side of the cake box:
  1. Place a sponge along the side covering the whole box
  2. Paste a net cloth on the sponge
  3. Decorate it with stickers or other such things..
Now comes the fun and surprising moment..Open the box to see all the personalized goodies and gifts..

We can place any gift according to our kid's favorites..I have placed a small teddy bear fridge magnet, a small hand made greeting card, some Dora stickers(Her favorite..) and some chocolates..

Handmade Kids Greeting Card for Dad's Birthday

Hello everyone..

The most exciting and interesting day for anyone is their birthday..So when my kids wanted to make a greeting card to wish their dad on his birthday, I was excited too.. This card represents the wonderful combination of birthday and crafting along with my kids love..

The card (though a little time consuming) came together so nice.. There are no words to explain the joy and pride on the face of my daughters when they finished and placed the card inside an envelope..

So here is how the card was made.. the rectangle card stock is self designed and it is folded along the center..The opening page has a hand written title and bordered with some red paper which was cut with a tulip shaped paper cutter stamp.

There is also a cute hand drawn crayon cartoon of my two daughters(drawn by my elder daughter) at the bottom right corner..

I have made the center page of my greeting card inspired by a classic technique of palm tracing
i.e.,
  1. Place ur child's palm on the cardboard
  2. Trace it and cut the cardboard in that shape
  3. Place it on another cardboard and draw them..
  4. Repeat Step 3 by keeping the palm card on many angles..
I have used blue color for my younger daughter's palm and red for my elder one.. with the "happy birthday dear daddy" message placed among them..

Now, this is another card made with a foam sheet in my kid's palm shape representing  close your eyes symbol.. There was a pen sticked inside the card which was the surprise gift..

Thank you for visiting my blog.. Hope you like my kids cards.. Feel free to comment below..
Have a nice day..Keep on crafting..

Decorated Princess Doll Picture

Hello everyone..

Today I have posted a doll picture dressed up with satin and flanel cloth.. And it is also decorated with glitters, stones, etc.,

This can be used as a wall hanging or in greeting card, etc., The pattern is traced onto a card..

For the inner frills, THreee flanel cloths are cut with measurements as follows in inches
  • 4*1.5
  • 3*1.5
  • 2*1.5
Now for each of the cloth, a runnning stitch is put on one end.. when pulled out it forms a fan like frill..

All three frills are stitched on one another and pasted on the doll picture..

Now for the outer layer of a gown. A satin cloth is cut in the same size and pased along the corners of the gown..

A small part of the flanel cloth is pasted on the top part of the gown.. In the bottom part, a shimmery net fabric is pasted..

Now the doll is decorated with stones and glitters..and colored with a marker pen..

When we border the picture with a glitter tape,The finished picture looks like this..

Thank you for reading my post.. Please visit again and leave your valuable comments.. Hope you enjoyed this post.. See you soon with another artwork.. Have a nice day..

Greeting card- Painted with Flowers

"Its not the Years in your life that count, but its the Life in your years.."-Famous Quote

Hello everyone..

Today,I have posted a birthday greeting card that I have done for my husband..Its a door type card with separate cards inserted  into a holder.. Each card has a flower painted on it with acrylic colors.. Take a look..

As you can see, the center part is painted in green acrylic color and outlined with metallic silver.. White stones are pasted with fabric glue..

Once we open the card by holding the center piece, it looks like this..

A rectangular cut is made on the inner side of the card to make the word "husband" visible..It can be dad or mom or brother or sister or any other relatives to whom this card is prepared.. Also, we can write some wishes in this page..

If we open the blue card...

There are 7 cards inserted in this holder..The card with letter N is 1/2 inches taller than the card with letter D.. The card with letter A is 1/2 inches taller than the card with letter N.. The card with letter B is 1/2 inches taller than the card with letter A.. And so on.. So when they are stacked behind, The Full word HUSBAND alone will be visible..

Any unique expansions or wordings or wishes that starts with all the letters(In this card, for H,U,S,B,A,N and D) can be written on the visible area..

"Wonder what this butterfly is doing here? Just lift each card to view it" is the wordings on the top of this page, which has a acrylic painted butterfly card pasted on it.. When they lift each card ..its time for.. SURPRISE....

Hope you all liked this card.. See you soon with my next post.. Have a nice day..
