Today I have posted a traditional painting of an Indian mythological creature known as Annam. I have drawn this using Acrylic colours on a drawing book. It looks mostly like a swan. It is often depicted with a flower vine in its beak. This creature is said to have a magical ability to seperate water from milk.
This bird design is from original hand drawing, inspired by sculptures in ancient tamil temples and vaahanam or vehicle of deities. Annavahanam is one of the beautiful vehicles on which the idols of deities are placed when they go on a parade.
